Welcome to Seashells
Visit Seashells in Hythe and enjoy the stunning views of Southampton Water from our newly redecorated upstairs bar and restaurant. Enjoy one of the best views of the visiting ocean liners and directly overlooking Cunard’s prestigious home berth, where the Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, and soon, the new Queen Elizabeth regularly tie up.
Tuck into a meal from our extensive menu or sample our ever popular all day breakfast. For something lighter try toast and preserves or a rustic sandwich. All our food is freshly prepared from locally sourced ingredients. Finish your meal with a mouth watering dessert and coffee. A full range of drinks is available from our bar, served by welcoming and friendly staff.

View the pier train as it makes it’s twice hourly trip along the historic Victorian 2,100 ft pier to connect with the Hythe to Southampton ferry, and watch the local river traffic visiting the newly opened marine park on our doorstep, including hovercraft and local working vessels.
Why not sit on our veranda and enjoy a drink as you watch the cruise liners depart? (Full details of dates and times of visiting liners and transatlantic ships is available on request).
A local amateur historian is available to give short guided walks and talks on the history of Hythe, starting and finishing at Seashells. If you wish, an hour long illustrated talk can be given on the history of Hythe and the surrounding area at Seashells. All walks/talks can be tailored to suit your requirements, please call for details.
